Stereographic Images

Intro to stereographic images...

Starting with v2.2.0, Renderboy supports the automatic creation of stereographic images. A stereographic image actually contains two images, one for each eye. Render-Boy creates "parallel viewing" stereo images, where the left image is for the left eye, and the right image is for the right eye. If you are already familiar with how to view stereo images, then check out the examples below.

Otherwise, please visit the vision3D web site, and especially review their viewing tips on parallel viewing of stereo images.  This is just one of many third party sites dedicated to stereographic images and photography. You can find many more by searching on "stereographic" at your favorite search engine. Don't have a favorite search engine? Then try out AltaVista or Google, which are both very good.

Creating stereo images like this is incredibly easy with Render-Boy. Simply use any new or existing design, then activate the stereographic rendering feature from the "Render" menu and render as usual. That's really all there is too it!
