MEMORY
At least 1 MB of free RAM is required to run Render-Boy. However, more memory will allow you to create more complex designs and render larger images.
VIDEO MEMORY/MONITOR
Render-Boy does not care how much video memory you have, since this will not affect the quality of the images you render. It will only affect the quality at which your monitor can display the images. Any video card able to display 256, thousands, or millions of colors is fine.
DISK SPACE
Roughly 10 MB of hard disk space is required to install the entire Render-Boy package.
SYSTEM SOFTWARE
Mac OS 7.0 or newer is required. Render-Boy will run in Mac OS X under "Classic" mode.
PROCESSOR
Render-Boy should work fine on virtually any color Macintosh sold since around 1990. This includes all Macs equipped with 68030 (with or without FPU), 68LC040, and 68040 processors, including PowerBooks. Likewise, it will work with any PowerPC Mac, including all PowerMacs from Apple, Mac clones, PowerPC PowerBooks, iMacs, iBooks, and "G3" and "G4" Macs. Render-Boy optimizes performance by taking advantage of available floating point units (FPU's). The PowerMac version is fully PowerPC native, resulting in excellent design and rendering performance, especially with newer Macs.
